Only 5 More Days!!
So many of you may know, during my 2010-2011 senior year I will be in Argentina as a Rotary International exchange student. I will be staying in Cipolletti, Argentina in the province of Rio Negro. It neighbors the province of Neuquen. I fly out August 28th and arrive August 29th. I will be attending Estacion Limay private school. I graduated early from high school in case the credits do not transfer back home and so I am able to be more engrossed in the culture and language in Argentina. My first host family has three children. The oldest is a 19 year old son and is attending college in the capital, Buenos Aires. The middle child is a 17 year old girl who is on her exchange in Germany. They youngest is a 13 year old boy who is attending the same school I am. My hostmom is a kindergarden teacher and she is very welcoming and nice. I can’t wait to meet everyone and start learning about Argentina. I hope to come back fluent in Spanish and be able to teach so many people about my experiences and relationships I make. I am so excited, muy emocionado!! I can’t wait to meet so many new people and learn many different things. My bags are packed and ready to go…after thirty million trips on and off the scale and up and down the stairs to grab things I keep forgetting until the second I reach the top stair =D
After two weeks being delayed, I can no longer wait for this awesome experience!! For all of you that don’t know, my trip got delayed because I bruised the bone and ligaments in my knee because I fell while I was jumping on my wakeboard. My fall caused me partly dislocate my knee for a few seconds, which stretched the ligaments, to have to use crutches for the last week and delay my flights and my arrival for two weeks. As I couldn’t be off to a more worse start, everything is smooth sailing…for the moment. =P I know everything will work out and it will be great no matter what happens. Only 5 more days!!!!
